BRIANA DONALDSON HITS GRAND SLAM!
The Squirt Girls came back strong tonight with a big bang as Briana hit a GRAND SLAM! Erica Hemmingway stole all the way to 3rd base on a WALK!  Everyone starting showing great potential both with swinging more at the plate, running, and defence work. Squirts defeated Londesboro 10-6

Briana pitched the game tonight and had a perfect inning in the 3rd, closing it down very quickly with 9 pitches!
Kaitlin Sippel had a great catch on 2nd, as Jessica Bannerman and Mallory Kuepfer did a great job catching.

On Bats and running, Heather Vance hit a double and had an RBI, Erica Hemmingway also had an RBI!  Way to be on girls!  Those who came in to score tonight were Erica (2), Rachel Williams (2), Heather Vance, Briana, Carly Gerber (2), and Jessica (2)!  Great Game Girls!  I hope to see improvements like that in all our games!

The "Game Ball" tonight for most stand out player went to two players.  Briana recieved it for her pitching and her grand slam.  Erica recieved it for always playing her position to the fullest, her RBI, slide home, and her terrific running on a walk! (that we have tried to drill into the girls for a VERY long time!  Way to be the first to pull it off Erica!)

On Monday night's game, we lost to Zurich 16-10.  We struggled with bats in the first 2 innings, and brought in all our runs in the 3rd and 4th inning.  Pitching was not our forte Monday, as Carly, Mallory and Briana all tried, and just couldn't catch a break.  Those who brought in runs were; Erica, Rachel, Carly, Kaitlin, Reghanne Howes(2), Sommer Bender (2), and Jessica (2).

The "Game Ball" for most stand out player went to Ashley Bannerman, for always being in the game, ready in stance and knowing where the plays are to go, 2 nice singles out to the green, and for getting herself out of a big pickle between 2nd and 1st while running.  Way to stand out Ashley!
