Close but no Cigar...
The mosquito 2's are winless in 4 games, but improving...
Even though the score sheet hasn’t recorded any wins the kids are definitely improving with each game. For several of the players seeing “live” pitching, leading off, stealing, etc are all new to them, but there is no doubt they will catch on. We have several pitchers that have showed improvement with each inning and even managed a three up, three down inning against a tough St. Mary’s squad. Defensively we are getting better and last game against Goderich we executed a perfect relay from outfield to short and then onto third on which the play was close enough that the call could have went either way. Obviously we still have areas we can work on like hitting and knowing what to do when the ball is hit, but with lots of games & practices to come the coaching staff is confident we’ll perfect these skills. This week’s action has a rematch against a strong Lieury team and a rare Saturday morning game in Lucan.
