Legionnaires blank Tigers
A solid pitching effort Listowel's pitchers helped lead to a 7-0 victory. Baggio, threw 3 scoreless innings while Leary and Vader threw 2 scoreless innings a piece in the shut out effort. The Legionnare's defense, was steady throughout the game. Of note, Werth threw out his first base runner of the season and Steadman made a couple of fantastic hustle catches.
Offensively for the Legionnaires, they were able to take advantage of hits by Werth and Vader with RBI's from Leary and Baggio. It wasn't until the 4th when Listowel would score again, this time on an RBI single by Werth to cast Raben. The boys in green scored 2 more runs in each the 6th and 7th on hits by Vader (2) Hallam, Leary and Baggio.
Next game for the Legionnaires is on Thursday when they travel to Cambridge to take on the Cubs.
