SQUIRT GIRLS - 1 LOSS, 1 WIN!
On July 7th, Squirts lost to St. Marys, with a tight finish of 8-6, and on July 14th, Squirts won against Mitchell 8-4. Both games were close, but the girls are really starting to show how they can come together as a team.
Briana Donaldson pitched a good game, however our bats were not getting any action against St. Mary's. Our defence as a team is starting to really come together as the girls are demonstrating they are learning. They are beginning to make their own calls, and are more co-ordiated together. That takes time, practice and repeated drills, and they are finally meshing together well!
Those to bring in runs were Heather Vance, Ashley Bannerman, Carly Gerber, Jessica Bannerman, Sommer Bender and Briana.
Game Ball - Our Game ball for most stand out player against St. Mary's was given to
Jessica Bannerman, as she was the only one who actually hit the ball! Well done Jessica! Keep swinging!!
Tonight we played Mitchell. Briana pitched a very strong game tonight, and Jessica was able to grab more balls tonight at catch. Briana and Mallory Kuepfer had a great pinch on the 3rd base line as they nabbed a stealing runner, as well so did Mallory and Jessica! Love to see those tight plays girls! Keep up the great work!
Team members to cross the plate tonight were, Briana (2), Mallory(2), Heather, Kaitlin Sippel, Reghanne Howes, and Ashley. Way to go girls!

Mallory Kuepfer, for hitting a sweet double, her fantastic work on 3rd base, and helping to get the stealing runs home - OUT! Keep up the great work Mallory!
