SQUIRT GIRLS DID IT AGAIN!
Squirt Girls continued to play well as they defeated Exeter 9-6 in their 2nd game of the season. Although only 3 innings were played, we were up 7-1 going into the bottom of the 2nd. We did struggle a little as Exeter managed to get 5 runs in, but we fought back strong and shut them out in the 3rd! Way to play girls!
Carly Gerber started pitching, and did quite well! Briana Donaldson pitched the 3rd. Some new positions were played and tried by some of the girls, and over all they too did well.
We do need to get stronger at our bats, but overall the girls have been off to a great start! Just think... we can only get better, as long as we continue to try, and learn as a team.
Briana hit the first 2 doubles of the season and base running was getting stronger as a handful of girls stole home! Way to show determination girls!! Runs brought in tonight were by Heather Vance(2), Erica Hemmingway(2), Jessica Bannerman, Ashley Bannerman, Rachel Williams, Briana, and Sommer Bender.
