Midgets Win WOBA Title
August 10-12 weekend the Midgets go perfect 6-0 to win the WOBA league title. The bats were lively this weekend beating Clinton 8-5 Friday night. Then Exeter 8-4 in game 2 followed by Kincardine 8-5. Putting us in the undefeated game vs a surprise gritty Hanover team this weekend and won 15-10. Semi- finals matched us up against the always tough St Marys squad but we game out on top 7-3 setting up a rematch vs Exeter in the finals. A pitching due ensued between the Exeter starter and Nich Verbeek with both pitching a complete game. Listowel getting the better in one inning for a 4-1 decision. Sam Town also pitched a complete game in the semi finals vs St Marys.
Great team work all weekend was the key to the victory.
