Extra Inning Thriller
The rookie reps spent the weekend playing in a tournament in London, after splitting their first two games the kids would play the host team Oakridge Reds in a sunday morning thriller. The reps got off to a slow start and found themselves down by 9 runs after two innings. The kids battled back and were down by 6 going into the 7th inning, after a little pep talk the bats came alive and the reps stormed back to tie the game and with 2 out and a chance to win it in the 7th "the tank" hit a long drive to left center field and the Oakridge fielder made a fine catch to send it to extra innings. The teams battled back and forth and the comeback fell just short with 19-18 loss in 9 innings.
Reps are back at it on wednesday at 6:30 vs. Lucan in Listowel.
