U9T1 extend win streak to 8 with a rain soaked win over Mitchell
The Mitchell Astros and the Listowel Legionnaires faced off for the 4th meeting of the season in a wet one in Listowel on Tuesday night. Every game has been a good one between these two very solid teams but again it was the boys in yellow that would come out on top by margin of 9-6.
Hits were hard to come by as the rain fell lightly for most of the game. The home team held a 9-2 lead heading into the final inning. The Astros would open the inning with back to back doubles and a triple to put a scare into the home crowd but the Legionnaires would settle things down and get the three outs they needed and extend their win streak to eight!
