9U - Rep, Rookieball, 2023 (Listowel Minor Baseball)

The U9T1 Legionnaires traveled to Kingsville on the weekend moving up a division to compete for the OBA C Championships.  

The Legionnaires welcomed the Brockton Royals to town on Monday night for a tune up for both teams before heading to their respective OBA Championships.  As expected, great defense was the story of this one the teams took turns making play after play making it extremely difficult to get any offense going.

The boys in yellow got off to a slow start in Clinton on Thursday night trailing the home town Mustangs 1-0 after two innings.  But they would find their offence putting up 2 runs in the 3rd and 4th innings, 5 in the 5th and 3 more in the 6th to cruise to a 12-3 victory. They are back in action Monday night when they welcome the Brockton Royals to town in what should be a great matchup and pre OBA tournament tune up for both teams.

The young Legionnaires got back on the right side of the ledge with a convincing 34-4 win over the Exeter Express on Monday night.  Next action sees them travel to Clinton on Thursday night for a matchup with the Mustangs.

The U9T1 Legionnaires spent the weekend in Mitchell playing the WOBA year end tournament.  Friday night saw the offence explode in a 26-5 win over the Kincardine Cardinals.  Saturday morning was a wet one forcing a short delay, once they got going the boys in yellow would cruise to their 2nd win over Hanover by a 20-4 margin.
